The collection of the Museum of Fashion and Textiles is one of the most important in the world, ranking with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. With a collection of roughly 30,000 costumes from the 18th century to the present, it is a unique museum in France. The clothing gallery, with a surface area of 1500 square meters and permanent, modern showcases, changes its exhibit twice a year.
