The highlight of today's Puppenfestival events is the International Antique Show. You also want to explore the fascinating Museum of German Toy Industry; immerse yourself in Christmas nostalgia at the Historisches Weihnachtsmuseum; and visit the "Puppendoktor" – Peter Packert! On our way back to Coburg, we shop for old-style, holiday candy containers at the Ino Schaller factory outlet. Coburg

Today we travel to historic Meißen. On the way, we discover Princess Dorothea's "Mon Plaisir" at the Schloßmuseum in Arnstadt; and look for the die of Kestner's famous Hilda in the Schloß Tenneberg Heimatmuseum in Waltershausen. Then join us on a walking tour to view what remains of Waltershausen's historic doll factory buildings. Meißen

We start the day with a guided tour of the Staatliche Porzellan Manufaktur (formerly KPM) and Porzellan Museum, followed by unfettered shopping in the factory outlet shop! Spend the rest of the day sightseeing, shopping, or relaxing in the lovely gardens of our hotel overlooking the Elbe. Meißen

On our way to Prague, we stop in Seiffen, the wooden-toy-and-nutcracker-and-Christmas- ornament capital of the Ore Mountains. We visit the Erzgebirgisches Spielzeugmuseum and then explore the village. The streets are lined with the shops of wood-turners whose creations amuse and beguile! Prague

We begin the day with a walking tour of this elegant city, ending with a visit of the Muzeum Hradcek in Prague Castle. Puppetry is high art in the Czech Republic, and if you think you don't like opera, then think again. This evening's side-splitting performance of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the National Marionette Theater will convince you otherwise! Prague
